Iceland

So we're in Iceland, waiting for our connecting flight to Heathrow. A 2hr stopover before a 3hr final flight home. 

Shame we don't get to see any of Iceland this time, but we'll definitely come here to see it sometime soon. 

The heat of Miami seems a distant past already :( ..and no other holidays in the calendar to look forward to. That will have to be fixed asap!

IHop breakfast before Busch gardens

Weqwa State Park

Great time at the park today, after a Dunkin Donuts breakfast. We didn't come across any Florida brown bears, but plenty of tortoise. 

Aquatica

Water slides are so much fun. Had a blast at aquatica, will defo have to visit a water park again soon. 

Busch Gardens

Elephants, Tigers, rhinos, cheetah, giraffe, giant tortoise, gorilla, chimps and more .. Ohhh and roller coasters! :) a great day at Busch gardens. 

Gator Golf

Alligators and Crazy Golf all rolled into one! Yas beat me by 2! Grrrr. 

Seaworld

Great day at sea world. Killer whales, sea lions, seals, Dolphins, manatee, turtles, sharks plus a couple of roller coasters. 

Tiring though! 

Disney Springs

KWandered down Disney Springs in the evening to take a look around. 

Discovery Cove

So our first full day in Orlando was a great one, spent with Capicorn and friends in Dolphin lagoons. Amazing. 

Also did some snorkelling with tropical fishers and stingray. As well as fed the birds in the avery. We also saw armadillo, anteater, a sloth and a tiny owl. 

A jam packed day!

Shopping & Chesecake Factory!

So we spent our first afternoon and evening in the outlet malls shopping and finished off with a visit to the Cheesecake Factory ;)

Orlando!

Last breakfast in key west

Goodbye key west. Had a great time. Just enjoying our last breakfast by the pool before short 8min trip to airport to fly to Orlando. 

Dry Tortugas

So it was an early start today (6am) for a 7.30am ferry to Dry Tortugas National Park. 3hr ferry ride too. But was worth it. Great day snorkelling and checking out the fort. Just enough time to see it all. But would loved to have camped out there overnight like some were doing.

Took a wander around key west, and to southernmost point. Then to the beach for a relaxing break.

Keys Fisheries Market & Marina

Having a bite to eat in Marathon, Lobster Rueben and Fish Fingers ... As well as some Key Lime Pie and Rum Cake :) need to stay well fed ... Still an hour to drive!

So we stopped at Robbies in Islamorada to feed the Tarpon fishes... Even though seagulls got most of them!

Key West Road Trip

We're off! Starting out a little later than planned (midday), drive will take 4 or so hours, but will be a few stops along the way to break it up... Here we go!

Shopping on Lincoln Road

So we FINALLY found somewhere to park in Miami, and have come to shops to get my new iPad & AppleTV. Done. Yas nearly bought some clothes too. But now sat down awaiting our food at Rio Station restaurant. We're a pair of hungry hippos! 

We have to pack tonight, as checking out and leaving Miami for drive along the keys to Key West. Can't wait. Although my backs hurting quite a bit from the driving!

Oleta Park

Had a nice walk around Oleta Park this afternoon. If we'd have had a bit more time id have got my swim on... But was onwards and upwards to get our eating and shopping on instead!
